Re: Hunter Killer from Terminator 2.

Finally finished my flying Hunter killer and thought I would share it.

overall paint was done with A chrome spray paint from B&Q. I picked out some of the smaller panels in Humbrol Silver (#11) and Gunmetal (#53). The panel lines and engine vanes and some of the recesses got the same gunmetal finish as I felt the black was too harsh.

The base itself was picked out is several earthy greens, browns, greys and white, again a mix of Humbrol enamels and acrylics. The Humbrol silver (#11) and Black (#33) was used on the nameplates and base surround

Nice one Budgie. What`s it like to build?.

First impressions of the base .........it needs more skulls, a LOT MORE skulls, piled high!!!

pete, its actually a great well thought out kit.. fit is extremely good but some parts take some lining up to get square. not a lot of filler needed as most joints are cleverly hidden by other parts

A few clear parts so plenty options for lighting too if your into that though you would need to change the support.

Gun and engines are posable but I chose to fix them in place..

The size is manageable too, a lot smaller than the old Horizon vinyl kit so easy to handle too.. get yourself one, you wont regret it..

Hope the HK tanks as good.. with luck they will add terminators

yep, Derek I had the original horizon  flying hunter killer too but must say this is definitely a far superior if smaller kit by all terms.  If the tank is as good as this it should make for a great build.. Its just a pity there`s no mention of adding a couple of terminators like they did with the Horizon version..

had the T600 and T1000 horizon kits too, never got round to getting the skeleton version though.. Also built the 1/9 scale one in the past, it was a great little kit.. only had the standard version one, the chrome plated one was hard to get at the time..
