Okay, a little more progress on the Triton - engines all done and added (I didn`t bother with modifying the other conduits at the front as it didn`t really make much difference. Noticed a few fit issues with the engines, especially as I had slightly bent them during the cutting out process (one or two have a slight banana bend) but no biggy. I have also removed the small conduits front the FTL drive at the rear and will replace these with something else.

Landing bays attached and have starting masking - she`s starting to look like a proper Battlestar now.

That`s be it for a while I fear while I count up the main guns to see if I have enough after the removal disaster ...

That`s some real progress.

Will have to get the last bits of decals done otherwise you`re going to beat me to finishing it off....

Doubt that will happen - I have some more detailing to do and need to check I have enough rail guns.

I don`t plan to paint it until the other Battlestars are done so that I can paint them all at the same time and get a consistency with them.

On the look out for more Revell Galactica kits for bashing purposes, so if anyone sees any bargains anywhere, let me know!

Bit more progress on the Triton and some detail work on one of the Jupiter-class Battlestars.

Got some time today to start work on the Nova-class Battlestar Solaria (the Classic Battlestar). As I want it to fit in the Nu BSG Timeline, I`m making some detail differences, starting with the bridge area. Basically I`ve discarded the kit bridge and made something out of lots of little greeblies from various kits. Will be adding more antenna to the front as well.

Will upload some pics later.

Solaria Bridge detail and a comparison of the size of the alligator head to that of the Triton.

Had some more time to work on the Solaria. Three major components assembled, although I do have to say some of the fit is a bit poor for an otherwise excellent kit. There were also some errors in the assembly sheet (unless I had it upside down, which is very probable!). Not too much in the way of modifications here - I will add some extra greeblies (mainly to hide gaps and for the turret mounts) - the main changes will be on the landing bay pods.

Some pics.
