Very old school.  Those cyan-ish panels look just the job and make it stand out against the all grey versions.

Cheers Alun.

Question, Whats the opinion on the Revel 1/600 D7? I know it's based on the Greg Jein model.

Whats it like as a kit, has anyone put one together?

No, not built that one I'm afraid.  For quite a while now I've only built small scale (1:2500) Trek stuff as it gives me a chance to do a number of variants and not take up too much space.  Also quick(ish) to complete so keeps me motivated.

Once the various Star Wars builds are completed for the show in June it's my intention to get back to some of these and get my display together.  So hoping you'll see some of it come together in the second half of the year.

Thanks Alun,

I'll probably get one they are about £15 on Ebay.

I'm working on on Star wars stuff myself at the moment but will try and do a couple of Trek bits to break things up and I'm working on a Starship kit bash inbetween other kits.

@Dan Smith-

The Revell 1:600 D-7 is based on Every Klingon D-7, not just Gren Jein's recreation built for 'Trials and Tribulations'.

Revell with this kit and the Enterprise used every reference, including the Animated Series, then merged the references together

into the kit, so they do not exactly match any one source directly. THey did use Jein' faintly inscribed palting lines

which reflect the Motion Picture D-7M. THe Warp Engines are very plain and blocky as with the Animated version.

THe ship does look like an evolutionary predessesor to the Motion Picture version, I am going to build mine towards that end.

Not quite a D-7M, more of a D7-J variant. It is a great kit and ready for lighting, they are jard to find now so if you see one get it quick!
