Will be starting the IMIA SPV shortly but colour guides on the net either stateside or out of date.

Anyone know if Halfords have a match for it? I just wanted to quickly pick some paint up rather than having to trawl the net and wait ages for it to arrive.

Do you have a colour reference number like a Humbrol or Pantone?

Personally I think Vallejo Model Colour 70.972 (position 107) Light Green Blue looks a good match. It has an FS Number of FS25352.

No reference number I`m afraid Alun. Thanks for the heads up on the Vallejo Marten- I`ll have a look and order some to see what its like. There seems to be variation in the SPV colours from looking on the net (no one it seems can get hold of the right shade). I did find some Vauxhall Petrol blue in the garage (not much left!) which although a looks a little dark, may be worth a try.

I think I would go for HALFORDS Bermuda blue. As the series went on it became more and more dirty. The early episodes show it a very light blue then it was heavily weathered.

Hope this helps. :)

Thanks Chris- it did appear to change shade/colour in the series- noticed this when I checked out some episodes on the DVD set.

May as well keep the SPV build going on this thread. The undercoating is done and wheel assembly- I thought about replacing the tracks for some more detailed but just couldn`t get any in scale. The fin however is a bit wonky and no matter how much faffing about I couldn`t get it totally straight- conscious of the fate of Marten`s Captain Scarlet interceptors I`ll display it a bit more side on as I was starting to lose patience with it!

Looks like it rolled out the factory yesterday!- weathering, panel lines to do and other bits of detail.
