Re: Dr Who Experience Cardiff

Just got back from seeing visiting the Dr Who Experience in the BBC complex at Cardiff Bay. A very good way to spend a few hours and well worth the effort if you are in the area.

Two parts to the experience:

Part one is a interactive walkthrough a mixture of Who sets compared by the wonderfully over-excited Matt Smith. It`s all flashing lights, smoke effects, screeching Daleks, just what you expect. In this part of the exhibit you are forbidden to take photos or film anything. If you do the site staff delete what you have recorded(they did this to a guy standing next to me and were VERY stern with him).

Part two is the costume/prop gallery and you can take photos in here. It`s a venerable Who museum with props and costumes from every era, Tardis mock-ups, Daleks, Cybermen etc.

I took a pic of just about every single thing in this section so for anyone interested here are a few:

1966 Cyberman ( note the sticky tap mouth)

Amy Pond outfit (minus the stockings unfortunately!):

Something they nicked from the masterful Batman Begins !!

Dinosaurs on a spaceship:

and view from behind!:

and the full album of pics here:

Enjoy.........(few more to follow)
