Re: Pete`s Build: Tres Hombres

So I`ve got a confession to make before I start:

I`ve never watched a single episode of Next Generation. I know nothing about it, don`t know the characters, storylines, history, hardware or anything else. I know nothing, nowt, zilch, sweet FA!.......

So here`s my entry for the comp then:

What you expected me to build a bloody spaceship!!!!

I`ll get them prepped and primed and see how we go.......

Made a start on the Klingon and my lack of knowledge is hurting me already. The images I`ve found online show the Klingon uniform colours of grey/silver and black :

So my question: ..... what colour does the robes over his shoulder have to be or do I use artistic licence?

Any help gratefully received!.

Hi Pete, personally I would ignore the JJ stuff, not really the right era for this build.

If you do a search for Klingon Uniform you`ll get lots of image results, from my research the dress uniform cloaks of the TNG era are either a brownish-red or even deep crimson.

Does that help?

Abraham`s should definitely be ignored here and as Mark says red/brown seems to be the common version but really dark red would make an interesting splash of colour.

Don`t forget that the Cardassians are purple! (That`s the one in the middle and not the irritating rich girls who blog or tweet or whatever the hell it is they`re meant to do for a career).

Started to think about the Borg fella and realised I wasn`t to keen on the eye laser (?) so after looking at various Borg images I`ve done a bit of kit bashing....

Original look:

New look after I dug a few bits and pieces out the junk box:

Looks better to me, and before anyone asks there was no way I was intending to light it !!!

Just about finished up my build in time. I`m not happy with the Borg. Time constraints and being totally knackered from work haven`t helped me and  I will most probably do him again. The effect I was hoping for on his distinctive skin colouring/pattern just doesn`t look wright to me but it`ll have to do for now. Apologies.
