Ok folks, going to start on this new kit soon.. Its the 1/9 scale vinyl Batman figure from The Dark Knight Rises..

my first disappointment is the pose.. I was expecting the box art but its more of a crouching position instead.. not saying its a bad pose but a bit misleading.. sculpt wise its really good.. the details excellent and the breakdown of the parts is up to Dragons usual standard of hiding the joints well.. Theres also a decent sized plastic base included in the kit..

I will post photos as I go but I dont think this will be a full build log as Im forgetful of taking pics at the appropriate times..

Cheers Ellenbethsdad, yep noticed the problem with the baterang, a new one will be made I think unless I can think of something else to replace it with..

Currently all the parts are washed and it looks like because of the pose its gonna be a paint of the sub assemblies before the full build or I will never get the brush in..

Should be fun

bit more progress tonight, built some of the sub assemblies. Ive decided Im not using the baterang in his hand so the resulting gap was filled to make a closed fist, looks just as good I think..

Gave it a shot of dark grey primer too, plan is to spray next with matt black for the webbing areas and fill the armour in with a satin or gloss black.. a bit of grey highlighting will be added to the webbing sections and cape..

ha ha Im glad Im not the only one that thought that when I saw the cowl.. it does look a bit saucy, doesn`t it?  batman gimp suit!!

Got my coat of black matt spray on and sorry to say it aint that matt.. came out more satin so it looks like its back to brush painting the matt black on
