Re: Friday 13th `Screamin` Jason- 2nd time around!

Vinyl kit from `88- been in the stash pile for years this as I`d bought it when it first came out. `Screamin` did two Jason Vorhees kits- this and `Jason Goes to Hell` in about `94.

Needs another Dettol bath and I`ll give it an undercoat.

Er, shouldn`t really say this on here but I`m not a big Star Wars fan Pete. Saw the first one and that was about it.

Never seen The Empire Strikes back and (gulp) none of the Star Trek movies.

I`d better get my coat.....

Absolutely, there are many scenes that would permanently scar younger minds: Luke being forced to wear harnesses for Yoda`s `training`; Leia`s incest. I could go on, but I don`t want to break your preconceptions about the SW universe!

Probably best to stick to the much more wholesome slaughter of fornicating teenagers at a remote camp. I have very fond/painful memories of watching Friday 13th Part 2 at a bar in Spain back in `81 (yes I was 11 at the time). SPOILER ALERT If you haven`t yet seen the film and are contemplating doing so, the next block of text will bugger up the ending for you. Right at the end when the two survivors are holed up in a room and they hear a noise outside, there`s a big build up of music and the door is flung open to reveal the cute dog. everyone breathes a sigh of relief and then Jason jumps through the window. It was at this exact point one of the Spanish bar staff though it would be a laugh if he dropped a metal tray, just to liven things up a bit. Bastard.

So I am looking forward to seeing what you do with Jason in all his scarred psycho glory!

Jeez, that Empire Strikes back is absolute filth Marten! and to think I was on the verge of letting the kids watch it!!!!

Not much of an update on Jason- school holidays an` all that.

Some basic colours on and started some shading. I`ve mixed oils/acrylic as I wanted to try and achieve some `texture` to the clothing.

Is it just me or does he look a bit like The Toxic Avenger? Still with his ice hockey mask on no-one will notice or dare to bring it up! I look forward to your results of your paint mixing, hopefully it will yield the end result you are after.
