Hard on the heels of Alun`s fab build of Rocket and Groot is my interpretation. I`m doing this as a birthday present for my daughter.

She should be very grateful because I DO NOT DO FIGURES!!! EVER!

Though I`m enjoying this set so I might have to change my mind on that.

Like Alun I started with Groot, because he`s cool.

I haven`t started painting Rocket yet, he`s just assembled and in primer but I`m calling Groot done.

As usual the camera doesn`t pick up all the colours that well, but here you go with a quick peek.

sorry about the orientation, it`s the right way round when you open it in a new tab so not sure whats going on there.

On to the next Guardian.

He looks fab Steve.  He`s great fun to build isn`t he!

Must dig out some scatter to finish off mine as seeing it on yours, it really is the finishing touch!

I didn`t find Rocket so much fun but I do love doing the dry-brushing and washes.

Thanks Pete, though I think `crosses over` is a bit strong, more like I just kicked my ball over the fence and had to nip over and get it.

Yep, a really fun build and paint subject Alun, I had to stop myself from doing more and spoiling it. I think I did put too much moss on him, compared to reference pics anyway, but I guess it comes and goes, like hair.

I`m not really looking forward to Rocket either, fur is a bit more problematic than bark.

The moss looks good to me!

I went through about 3 versions of the fur before I ended up with the version I`ve stuck with.  Sorry, can`t recall what colours it was in the end but was warm browns with a dark wash.  Wish the detailing on the fur had been better though as then a dry brushing would have made it pop much better.
