Re: Geometric Medusa Clash of the Titans

Started it about 10, 15 years ago so perhaps time to get it finished. Bow has broke off in storage and missing an arrowhead but otherwise appears unscathed.

Geometric did a base but I`d have to sell the family car to get it. Instead I`ll have to do one myself- all those years watching Blue Peter haven`t been wasted!

The film remake was predictably rubbish- they stuffed the mechanical owl back in the box and never took him- the shits!!!!!!!

Oh boy.....this kit is proving to be a real pain in the ass. Should of left it another 10 or 15 years longer.... :-(...

Hi Pete- already junked one base and the overall `feel` of the kit just ain`t right. Its one of those situations where it needs `something` but I`m not sure what.

May try a more `fantasy` based wash and drop some purple`s in. A lot on the net look sort of `freshly painted` and not the darker look I`m after.

Thanks for the replies guys- base is sorted and just a few final touches to Medusa to do. I`m still not 100% happy but if everything was perfect there`d be no challenge to this weird world of plastic and resin we inhabit!!!!

Ok pretty much done- camera`s washed out the subtler shading by the looks- but fairly happy with the result. A flickering candle battery sits in the urn which looks pretty cool at night. Kept the snakes in her hair a single colour as it looked more realistic.

She came out great. Love the idea for the urn, did you scratch it or buy it in?

Nice job overall Gareth, you should be happy with her. As an archer, one thing is troubling me, however. Is there any way of tightening the bow string to make it look like there`s some tension in it? At the moment the arrow is going nowhere!
