Re: G`day from WA

Hello, all, and thanks for having me. My name is Doug Miles, I live near Perth in sunny Western Australia, and I`ve been modelling for donkey`s years, focusing mostly on SF since I saw Star Wars (8 times!) in 1978. I also (used to) do a fair amount of small scale military armour and some military aircraft, as well as having more than a passing interest in model railroading. To be honest, I have been in modelling dead zone for some time now and haven`t completed a single damn model in ages! Looking for inspiration and motivation from all you good people on this cool site I somehow only just found out about today. I really need to get some my massive stash of kits transformed into finished product sometime!

Welcome aboard Doug.  Hopefully you`ll see something to inspire you. There are some big Star Wars builds on the horizon which we`re intending to take to the Star Wars Weekend at the UK National Space Centre next year.

But one question....I know Australia is a long way away but Star Wars came out in 1977 here???

Welcome mate from the land of rain and perpetual winter. We can only dream of a place that has enforcement notices- "No thongs, except on feet". God.

Hope you find your inspiration here- there are some incredible models and members only too willing to help out. If you`ve lost your modelling mojo then this is the place to come. Period.

Gives me the excuse to post this;

Welcome to the fold Doug, glad to have you on board. It`s always a bummer when you lose your mojo, but hopefully you`ll find some inspiration here. Apart from SW, what else are you into?
