Well I have just washed the sprues and the enormity of the task has really hit home. The mouldings are the 1980 snap together update of the kit and are in need of some serious work. I also need to rescribe the panel lines as they are all raised. Crap. On the upside, I do have the resin cockpit sets, so I`ll let you know if they are a good fit or not. Here are links to a couple of photos to show the `easy` route I have chosen for this comp.

Re: What to do???

Put me down, i need to get stuck in to a project not even looked at my desk in 11 months and that was half a kv2 last crimbo but could not get into it. Keep jotting down ideas and even bought a kit this year, a 1/72 choppa for bits but may well build a starship as the corrugated plastic for it has been sitting in my porch for over a year now :)

Hi Marten

Good to have you on board for the build.  But start yourself a new thread in the build folder so we don`t get in a hideous mess.

Quote from Chris Ford I`d like to be in but don`t think I can complete on time. I`ve just started to work out the lighting on my 1/350 scale K`Tinga, a kit I had delivered a couple of weeks ago.

Hey Chris

Was thinking about this over the weekend.  We`re in mid-November now and there is Christmas in the way.  For some people that`s a good model time but for others it`s no good at all with dashing round family.

So now thinking that end-Jan only really leaves people 9 weeks.  So end of February might be better for builds and allow for second ones if you get going quick....

Howdy all!

It`s good to see the page tweaked and alive once again!!

I`m a longtime lurker, and don`t post much - so I`m up for this, with a Feb finish : )

I`ll see what I have on the go that might fit the bill : )

I`m looking forward to seeing pics!

I have to say an extra special thanks Alun for extending the dead line. Those panel lines are going to cause me untold grief!
