Re: Polar lights Alien Kane- missing in action?

There seems to be a total nothing about this kit. Announced at the start of 2013 it was to be the first new Alien kit for many years. Myself and quite a few off the forum were already blowing the dust off their Alien DVD`s in preparation for suit painting tips. Seems as though its not gonna happen?

Take a look at the PL site, they have already cancelled the KingKong, Batman and Robin and Wicked Witch planned kits.

Seems as if the Kane and Sulaco kits are still going ahead but stuck in development hell......

Mmm, not good news. When planned scifi/movie kits get binned for presumably lack of orders/interest it doesn`t help the cause.

With general modelling on a gradual decline we`re a minority in a further minority! Lets hope some of the bigger kit manufacturers continue to support the genre.

I have several kits in the stash that make me feel that way, so I know your pain! Can`t wait to see how you get on, looks like a cracking kit (no pun intended)

Just got one of these for my birthday! Really nicely produced kit, minimal amount of cleanup needed. Some thought has gone into making it lightable with some clear pieces, but will need quite a bit of surgery to get the wires out...

Looks like a great kit and hopefully up to the usual Polar Lights standards. I`ll be watching with interest. I can never get over just how stupid Kane was though. If you have something that looks very much like an egg (and of that size) and it starts to open, don`t stick your face over it!
