Eve Online Dramiel

James Porter » Dec 21 '15

Hi all, i really love the look of this ship from eve online, it's a small frigate called a Dramiel, which is very fast and can pack a heavy punch for a frigate. this sin't a standard kit but was reproduced for me using 3D printing technology by a company in glasgow. it cost me £30 all in and that includes £5 for postage and packaging, i actually received two of this ships. the first picture shows how the ship arrived in three sections and the second is after i had assembled then and filled in the gaps as well as a coat of halfords car primer paint to pick up on areas i have missed, hence teh patchy nature of the spray job.

Very unusual design.  Not familiar in the slightest with the game but very interesting design.

The 3D printing is really starting to attract some unusal designs at reasonable prices.  Pretty unlikley that anyone would have run this in resin I would imagine as it's so niche.

Do post some updates when you progress your build!

yes i agree and i think as the technology progresses it will eventually give the "big boys" some serious competition in the modlelling world.

the game itself has some very interesting ships which i hope to add to my collection as well as others from other more well known sci-fi settings

i work long nightshifts so production is slow at best but i will update when i can.
