JAWS Pegasus Great white dio

Gareth James » Dec 18 '15

With the full moon now waning over 'The Howling' bust I've had this dio running behind the scenes for a bit. Picked it up from Fleabay for a couple of quid - already started- the separate head and diving cage long lost. I've had to really take it back to basics as the seam lines were very pronounced, and I'm suprised there's anything left of it with all the sanding needed. Little wonder its previous owner gave up!

I've scratched some barrels from clay and weathered them up to attatch to the shark. I'm gonna try for a more 'gnarly' look to the fish, rather than a airbrush blended finish. I'm pretty sure I'll also dump the stand its on too.

Mmm... finished, but not really that happy with it. Rope is too thick connecting the barrels and I've split my down time between making this and thrashing the hell out of a new drumkit- the shark has come in a poor second. Roughed up the exterior with sandpaper to try and get the shark skin texture. Eagles in the foreground are for display purposes only....wink

Nice job!  The texture looks to have worked pretty well to me!

Shame you can't stuff and air tank in his mouth.
