TARS from Interstellar

Anthony Hughes » Nov 23 '15

Been scracthing about with this for a while, the initial plan was just a scratchbuilt but after coming up with a design that makes use of multiple identical parts that I'd be molding anyway, I've been thinking about producing it as a full kit.

Self contained electronics drive the two screens (quick prototype below). Arms are held on with magnets which allows for a degree of poseability.

Very cool Ant!  Although TARS was a bit too lippy for my liking.  CASE was much more my kind of robot!

What sort of price do you think they'd be? Obviously bit of a guess at this point I would imagine.

Slightly hard to judge but guessing it's about 4" in size?  Maybe a bit more?

Thanks! I've been thinking about optional nameplates... might be a feature.

He's 1/7th scale - a shade under 10 inches high. No idea on costs yet...
